Hi, I have a p reg 850 cd auto t5, i recently changed the electrical part of the ignition switch but now have another problem.... Occasionally it wont start, all warning lights and electrics come on but no engine....when left for maybe half hour or so it starts again and then no problem for a week or so.... Could this have something to do with the immobilizer? it happens whether the car is hot or cold. cheers Justin

sounds like the ignition switch playing up still. Make sure you have a secure connection on the closest multi-plug to the switch. ( small screwdriver push the wires in, ignition off!) you may have just dislodged something changing the switch. clean up the engine earths. Next time it happens you need to find out if you have a feed to the starter solenoid, 12v to the small wire. If you have this then your problem is the starter motor wearing.

have you got a chpped key?...... i would follow coneheads advice, if it was not doing this before it is likely the fault would be with the work you carried out, double check your connections before you get sidetracked to othe possibilities..... cheers jod

Next time this happens try moving the gear stick from park to neutral. It may be the PNP switch causing the fault.
