Misdirected Headlamp Washers

Hi guys, newbie here... Just bought an '05MY S60 D5 SE All good apart from NSF headlamp washer which completely misses the lamp and squirts up onto my lovely waxed bonnet and windscreen. I would welcome advice as to how to remedy this bearing in mind the jet is concealed until you pull the stalk next to the steering wheel. Cheers, ruts66

ruts66 , Here in sunny southern California where they are rarely needed we pull the headlamp washer fuse and advise the owner to refit if they are going to a ski area where the roads are deiced .........the sprayers do hit the lamp but all the water and solvent blows over the hood when you only need a quick screenwash Mister T.

Thank you for your responses gentlemen, much appreciated. I like the idea of removing the fuse, Mister T. Although we don't enjoy Cali weather in London I am a compulsive car valeter all year round and my lamps never really get dirty. Looking at my owner's manual, fuse #15 in the engine bay fuse box appears to be the kiddy. Perhaps you would confirm this for me... Many thanks, ruts66

Ruts66, Yes the fuse for headlamp washer is # 15 in the engine compartment , thanks Clan I never noticed that the jet was adjustable I have only had to deal with them to refit the covers that the car wash or the rug rats have pulled off . And thank you Viper_7 for the power tip, my in laws are bringing me a Volvo tax disc holder they are coming over for Xmas. Mister T.
