I have just bought a 2004 54 plate XC90 D5 Geartronic (MY 2005). Now this might be a stupid question, but how do I know if I've got normal or bi-xenon headlamps? The lights on mine are white (like bi-xenon) and when you go to full beam the lights actually move upwards and give a fantastic long range for driving along lanes, etc Any help would be appreciated. Plus, is there a website where I can input my vin number and in return I'll be given a list of the car's specification when it was delivered? Cheers, Finbo

I would say theyre bi-xenons if they move up for main beam. Also when they light they'll kinda flicker as they come on!

Yep! They are Bi-Xenon's! The give away is the surround around the lights, If the whole unit is silver, their Bi-Xenon. The standard Halogens have a black unit with silver bezels around the lights. Hope this helps! Marc

Thanks for all your replies. They do flicker when the lights come on, so they must be bi-xenons. Well, that's an unexpected plus. My only concern is how long they will they last with daytime running lights, etc and how much they cost to replace. No doubt they're not cheap!! Thanks again for the prompt replies. Finbo
