advice needed please

after the purchase of my t5 r estate,some advice please chaps,(possibly the first of many questions!!) looking for some new brake pads on the front,it has the drilled discs and the pads are a little low for my liking so can anyone say'there the ones you need' please? also going to change the oil,would anyone recomend castrol magnetec ? it has quite a high mileage 175k so would need a decent performing oil,that people can whole hartedly recomend please, thanking you all in advance!!!!

yes magnatec is a good oil for this engine 10w/40 . Use the normal Genuine Volvo brake pads they are designed for the job and work well and dont squeek ! should last from 40000 - 60000 miles as long as you dont abuse them .

Agree with what Clan said :) If you are looking to upgrade the pads the Ferrodo DS2500's are supposed to be the dog's danglies, but ohmygod they're not cheap. Cheers, John
